If your insurance is a plan in which we are not a provider, you will generally pay out of pocket at the time of your visit, and will be sent a receipt which you can submit to your insurance company or your Flex plan for reimbursement.

Oxford Health Plan

  • Employer/Plan must be based in Connecticut
  • NY and NJ Plans (Employer based in/Policy written in New York or New Jersey) do not cover naturopathic medicine
  • Please note: Oxford's Phone System, or your primary care doctor, may inform people with New York or New Jersey plans that they are covered. However, if your plan was written in NY or NJ - which usually means your company is headquartered there - you will not be covered and you will be responsible for the full amount of the office visit.
  • If your card says "Freedom Select" or "Freedom Access", no referral is required
  • If you are an Oxford employee, no referral is required
  • If neither of the two above apply, a referral is REQUIRED in order to receive coverage. Otherwise you will be responsible for the full amount of the office visit.
